Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

Stick Chaos is a game. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no user profiles. Almost everything it knows about you stays on your own device, and this page explains the exceptions. It covers the same game everywhere it is played: the iOS app from the App Store, the Android app from Google Play, and the browser version.

What is stored on your device

Your progress — money, unlocked weapons and heroes, upgrades, mission progress, best scores, settings and any run you paused — is saved in your browser’s Local Storage, or in the app’s own private storage on iOS and Android. It never leaves your device, and we cannot read it.

Also stored locally: the nickname you type before a multiplayer match, and your chosen language. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser storage, erases all of this permanently. There is no backup and no way for us to restore it.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer matches are peer-to-peer: gameplay travels directly between players’ devices, not through our servers. To set a match up, two things are unavoidable.

First, the lobby. While you are in a room, the nickname you chose and a temporary random ID are relayed through Supabase Realtime so the other players can see you. Both disappear when you leave; nothing is written to a database.

Second, the connection itself. Establishing a direct link exposes your device’s IP address to the other players in the room — this is how peer-to-peer works everywhere, not something specific to this game. When a direct link is not possible, traffic is routed through a relay (TURN) server, which handles the connection and does not store the contents of your match.

Nothing in a match is recorded, and nothing you type as a nickname is kept after the room closes. Single-player needs no connection at all — the game is fully playable offline.

What we do not collect

No advertising. No analytics or usage tracking. No crash reporting. No advertising ID, IDFA or device fingerprinting. No location, no contacts, no photos, no camera or microphone access. No purchases, and no third-party SDK that would do any of this on our behalf.

Because nothing here tracks you across apps or websites, iOS never shows you an App Tracking Transparency prompt: there is nothing to ask permission for. The app asks for no system permissions at all on iOS. On Android it declares exactly one — internet access — and only multiplayer uses it.

We do not sell, share or disclose personal information, because we do not hold any. The App Store and Google Play separately report their own aggregate statistics to us — how many people downloaded the app, and anonymous crash counts from the operating system. We receive those as numbers, never as anything that identifies you, and this game plays no part in producing them.

If any of that changes, this page changes with it, before the feature ships and not after.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and because it collects no personal information, none is knowingly collected from them either. This is also why the game runs no advertising and offers nothing to buy.

Your data, your device

Since your data lives on your device, you control it completely: deleting the app, or clearing its storage, deletes everything. There is no server-side copy to request, export or erase, and no account for us to close — which is the same answer to every request the GDPR and the CCPA give you, arrived at by not holding the data in the first place. If cloud saves are added later, this section will explain how to delete an account and its data.
